Reblog: Femme Fashionista Must Have: BCBG Max Azria Dresses

Our femme fashionista must have pick this month is BCBG Max Azria dresses. The famous bandage dress has been the “It” dress for the past few years. Everyone from Victoria Beckham to Ashley Simpson has been pictured wearing dresses from Max Azria. These dresses are for the fit and fabulous for sure and are better known as Hervé Léger by Max Azria. Make no mistake this super sexy dress will show off all of your curves. Below are some celebrities that wore the dress best.

Wearing her Hervé Léger by Max Azria dress to the launch of her perfume in Germany, Katy Perry wore one of the more classic designs. The warp dress crossed the singers’ famous bust elegantly and cinched her figure down to her knees. Perry is known for choosing outrageous outfits, but this look was toned down and perfect. We love the lavender.

Jessica Szohr wore her BCBG to a Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2011 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week last year. The former gossip girl looked stunningly fit in the black cut out and mesh form fitting dress. The daring sheer fabric on the mid section add another level of sex appeal to this otherwise simple dress.

Kim Kardashian wore this form fitting Hervé Léger by Max Azria to a Las Vegas opening. The super sexy dress is quite intricate with a nude underlay with black detailing on top. The knee length dress hugs her figure straight down to the knees. This dress from the spring 2011 collection was definitely made for Kim.

Katherine McPhee turned heads in her Hervé Léger by Max Azria nude bandage dress in New York. McPhee’s slender body looked great in the barely there dress. A+ for Katherine for looking super sexy post her American Idol days.

Britney Spears wore a Hervé Léger by Max Azria design to Wango Tango music concert last year. The super fit celebrity looked super sexy in the hot pink maze print strapless wrap dress. We really love how Britney has cleaned up in the past year and a half. We’re so team Britney.

We’re a fan of Brooklyn Decker in her pink Hervé Léger by Max Azria worn at the ESPY awards. The dress doesn’t fit the thin supermodel as tight as it does some of the other celebrities we’ve seen, but she is really filling out the top of the dress well. The tank dress look works for the beautiful blonde.

Reblog - Exclusive Look: WikiFashionista.com Street Style Video Contest Winner Zoe B. Shows Us Her Swag

Look whose winning fashionistas! Zoe B. is coming to you from Century City, CA where she’s giving you an inside exclusive look at the newest fashion goodies she’s added to her wardrobe. Zoe selected some stylish fashion accessories from, Handbag Heaven, Affordable Scarves, Sunglass Warehouse and Shiekh Shoes. Check out the video of Zoe rocking her grand prize winnings in the video. And, below is a review on the items Zoe B. chose from the sponsors of the WikiFashionista.com street style video contest as well. Don’t forget to keep checking back for new street style videos at wikifashionista.com, where we speak to real girls, wearing real fashion, in real-time.

Starting from head to toe, Zoe selected the SW Retro Style Black Sunglasses with smoked lenses from Sunglass Warehouse. This ultra cool website is where the smart fashionistas go to get the hottest luxury inspired sunglasses for less. Nothing burns more than to scratch, break or lose and expensive pair of shades. And let’s face it, we all have done it at one time or another, which is why owning luxury accessories, can leave you feeling more grief than chic. Zoe’s Ray-ban inspired sunglasses would cost her a lot more than the similar Retro shades she’s wearing in the video.

Zoe selected the Amanda Circle Scarf in Red, because that’s her favorite color. As seen in the video, the infinity scarf double loops casually around the neck creating a layered look. The thing that is so attractive about infinity scarves is its versatility. You can also wear it as a shrug, through the arms and around the neck. You can also wear it more Beverly Hills chic by lacing one end through the other around the neck. There’s really an infinite amount of possible ways to wear this piece.

Next, Zoe scored the Jamie Buckle Satchel from our friends at Handbag Heaven. Zoe is currently a working college student, so naturally she selected a handbag for a fashionista on the go that will accommodate her school necessities and transition nicely to a work setting. The Jamie Buckle Satchel has two front strap closures and turn lock claps to keep the contents of the bag secure. The two toned color block Tan/Olive handbag also has handy long shoulder strap, which gives a chic messenger bag look to it.

Last but certainly not least, Zoe went with the Fantasik High Heel Wedges in black courtesy of Shiekh Shoes. Judging by her video response, Zoe absolutely loves these ultra high platform wedges with color block heel. We love the edgy thick straps and sexy peep toe front. The Fantasik Wedges will add 5 ½ inches to your current height, so if you’re the kind of fashionista that loves to be super high like Zoe then Shiekh Shoes has what you’re looking for.

Fiorentini and Baker Kids’ Footwear Collection

The Fiorentini and Baker brand is the creative collaboration of one of Bologna, Italy’s most highly regarded interior designer, Gianpaolo Fiorentini, and a shoe designer with one of London’s finest exports, Deborah Baker. The fusion of these diverse creative backgrounds has resulted in a range of classic timeless shoe designs for both men and women.

The philosophy of Fiorentini and Baker is simple: to create beautiful shoes. Using high class materials like supple leather, soft suede and original vintage fabrics, their designs reflect the graceful and undeniably romantic influences of cinematic legends such as Betty Davis and Julie Christie. Effortlessly wearable and exceptionally durable, these hand-crafted men’s and women’s shoes are created by artisans using traditional techniques that ensure these unique shoes grow old as gracefully as the stars that inspired them.

Fiorentini and Baker has become the go-to boot brand for tough-chic dressers in the know. And to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary, the footwear company is launching an adorable junior’s capsule collection.

The school age set will be able to add that signature F + B edge to their shoe closets thanks to a selection of five shrunken-down styles, which will retail for US$380 to US$500 a pair.

“Many of our clients wanted shoes for their children so we decided to make a range for kids in our classic styles,” Deborah Baker, the brand’s founder and designer said about the new footwear line. “We have a big Hollywood following, so my guess is that we may see some mini actors and actresses in them.”

With celebrity fans including Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry, and Sandra Bullock, one would think that Fiorentini and Baker is clamoring to get Apple, Moses, Nahla, and Louis in its boots.

But Baker, who says her twenty something daughter steals her shoes, isn’t limiting herself to the brand’s starry clientele. “I’m more interested in seeing everyday people wearing my shoes regardless of status or generation,” she said. “The boots and shoes work for so many different styles and personalities.”

While the main collection is sold at Barneys, Bloomingdale’s, and other fashion boutiques worldwide, the kids’ collection will be available exclusively in Fiorentini and Baker’s New York flagship store beginning in October.

There is definitely the comeback of simple bridal gowns this year that have been seen from a couple of years back. The powerful trend towards asymmetry seems to be declining. Fall dresses for the evening:

The style of the ‘50s can be seen as a clear inspiration from the bridal collection this fall. Sweetheart cleavage lines were in abundance, occasional strapless ones can be seen as well and in other cases with tiny pasta straps too.

The natural waistline which was made a standard back in the ‘50s revival still remain favored. It was generally seen having a simple accent, such as a bow, flower, or even narrow row associated with crystals right across the waistline.

Tulle and designed organzas are still in style which is well, quite evident with collections seen this season. It is because they suit the basic pattern of the gowns. Again, gem earrings and bracelets are the ideal accessories with this type of gown.

For fall evening dress, a night out with friends in it will definitely make your night wonderful and charming especially if it complements your body size and color.

The most noticeable thing about the collections this season that it is moving from the dramatic silhouettes like the fitted trumpet with the surge of fullness at the end.

The selections are leaning on the discreet and subtle shapes this year which is a delight for some of the women today.

Velvet Clothing Fashion Pieces by Graham and Spencer

There’s nothing that women love more than an item of clothing that is both fashionable and comfortable. That is why a lot of women love Velvet clothing by Graham & Spencer. The line started with a very simple concept of t-shirt fabrics that could be fresh, flattering, and feminine all at the same time. The resulting creations were soft, sensual, and an immediate hit with the fashionistas. We think chic styles that are comfortable, wearable and anything but dowdy deserve a spot in your closet. The designers call their lines “trend-setting basics.”

Found in trendy, upscale boutique shops around the world, the Velvet clothing line has expanded to encompass a broader range of fashions, including the recent Velvet Men line. Velvet clothing is all manufactured in Los Angeles and can be found for sale on their website, as well as in major fashion capitals the world over.

Browsing through their collections on their website, you’ll find beautiful colors and sleek designs. There are very few prints in the Velvet clothing line; instead, the designers have focused more on texture and detail. The clothes have a casual elegance but are still quite feminine. Both the tops and the dresses can be dressed up or down, making their fashion pieces a versatile addition to your wardrobe. Our favorite tops are the Sallyanne and Moira styles—both look like they would be perfect for a quick day-to-night switch. We also love Keriam in the dress collection; it’s a great little black dress that we would love to add to our wardrobe.

The men’s collection is still small at the moment, with only five different shirt styles available for sale. However, we do like the clean, simple lines and crisp colors. They still look comfortable enough that even the less fashionable of our male counterparts would enjoy wearing them.

Velvet clothing by Graham and Spencer has again revived velvet trends into the fashion market by introducing not only new stylish clothes, but also accessories. They have released bags, belts, caps, leggings and vests that are so attractive to look at you won’t be able to take your eyes off them. They are a must-have in your wardrobe collection to get that retro-chic look. Velvet clothing by Graham and Spencer fashion pieces are not just limited to dull colors like those earthy shades of blacks and browns, instead, they have incorporated color schemes that are bright and lively. They can be easily matched with other pieces of clothing and accessories. They also have a good selection of footwear that can give a lavish touch to your attire.

Lilly Pulitzer sale, your place for a true feminine style

Do you want a feminine and womanly fashion designs? Do you love bold prints, bright colors, pastels, excellent hues, dainty styles? Well, there is nowhere else to go but the Lilly Pulitzer sale. The best place when it comes to purchasing the best gown or perfect dress that will express a genuine and highly female spirit.

Lilly Pulitzer is a fashion designer that hailed from the socialites. She was born as Lillian Lee McKim in Roslyn, New York in 1931. Lilly Pulitzer was a part of the intricate lives of the wealthy but she decided to carry on and move out of her comfort zone as she eloped with Peter Pulitzer in 1950. The couple lived in Palm Beach, Florida. There, she started her juice stand that sells refreshments in the tropical weather of Palm Beach. It is also this juice stand that will set her career forward as she designed a dress without sleeves and is made of brightly colored material. Not only did she sell so many refreshments that day she wore that dress but people also inquired on her design.

Her career in fashion started through designing dresses, which are the dresses that we now try to covet in the Lilly Pulitzer sale. She specialized in garments for females and carried on designing clothes until the year 1984 but then she revived her collections in 1993. Since then a lot more people clamored for dresses in the Lilly.

She is known for her bright colors, somehow a subliminal extension of her juice stand roots. She was attracted to feminine patterns in her design such as accentuating areas of the body that are considered highly womanly. She likes simple clean lines along with pastels and flowery prints. For her, this is the perfect girly dress. Her excellent shades and prints flatter the women’ s bodies and display off their femininity a whole lot more than other versions. She identified what females want and she has addressed all the specifications of her clientele.

Today, a lot of fashion stores and retail outlets are carrying her designs. Shops such as Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom carry the Lilly Pulitzer line. There are also online shops that sell dresses that are in bright colors and pastels, epitome of what a Lilly Pulitzer dress is. There are over 70 shops all over the world that sell her valuable collection. Not only does she design dresses but in the Lilly Pulitzer sale, she has also expanded on to sunglasses, bags, and scarves, the perfect accessories to the perfect dress. Lilly Pulitzer is truly a powerful woman as she has exemplified wonderful work out of extreme talent and great perseverance.

She truly is an icon and her dresses speak well for herself. Her collections have transcended all the past decades and all the generations and with the amount of people that appreciate her designs in the Lilly Pulitzer sale, we can truly say that Lilly Pulitzer is an icon just as her dresses are easily recognizable and highly coveted.
